Basketball Recap: Weaver Takes a Loss

Weaver was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a blow against the Noli Indian Braves, falling 66-19. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Monarchs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 32-29 on January 9th.

Noli Indian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Juan Flores, who posted 21 points. Another player making a difference was Micheal Malone, who scored 18 points.

Weaver's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Noli Indian, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 2-9 record.

Weaver will square off against Joshua Springs Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Joshua Springs Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Noli Indian, they will face off against Palm Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
