It was a good run, but Fairless unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Canton South Wildcats by a score of 5-4. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Fairless saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mike Ritterbeck, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Fairless' defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Canton South, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fairless will head out to take on Dalton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Canton South, they will head out on the road to square off against McKinley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
