It was a good run, but Windermere Prep unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against the Dr. Phillips Panthers, falling 79-57. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lakers have suffered since January 25, 2024.

Windermere Prep's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3. As for Dr. Phillips, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windermere Prep will take on East River in a tournament on Thursday. Windermere Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 matches -- so hopefully East River likes a good challenge. As for Dr. Phillips, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lake Highland Prep at 7:00 p.m. on January 8th. Dr. Phillips is facing Lake Highland Prep at the right time seeing as Lake Highland Prep is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
