Soccer Recap: Fairfield Starts Season with Win at Home

Fairfield took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Clinton-Massie Falcons. That's more bragging rights for Fairfield, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Their offense was hitting Clinton-Massie from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Vivian Henninger led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Fairfield has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Hillsboro on the 19th. As for Clinton-Massie, they will venture away from home to face off against New Richmond at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give Clinton-Massie their first taste of in-conference action this season.
