It was a good run, but Sandalwood unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 5-1 to the Ponte Vedra Sharks.

Sandalwood saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Preston Cox, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Joseph Navarro also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Sandalwood's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Ponte Vedra, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-6.

Coming up, Sandalwood will square off against Ridgeview at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ridgeview has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.21 runs per game on average), something Sandalwood will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Ponte Vedra, they will take on St. Augustine at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
