Baseball Recap: La Serna Comes Up Short

La Serna and Liberty squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but La Serna had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bison by a score of 6-4.

La Serna saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Del Haro Lopez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.

La Serna has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-13 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.67 runs. As for Liberty, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-11.

La Serna does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Liberty, they will take on Elsinore at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Bison surely won't give up without a fight.
