Soccer Game Preview: Wakulla vs. Maclay

Wakulla hasn't had much luck against Maclay recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The War Eagles will head out to square off against the Marauders at 7:00 p.m.

Wakulla barely beat Suwannee the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The War Eagles' defense stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 7-0 shutout on Friday. It was an even better day for Dax Dichio as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Maclay was forced to settle for a draw. They and Chiles finished up their match with a 1-1 draw on Friday. Maclay had to tread lightly for part of the contest as five Maclay players were handed yellow cards, which could explain the final result.

Maclay's draw makes their record 1-0-1 this season. As for Wakulla, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Wakulla might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Maclay when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can the War Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
