Volleyball Recap: Freeport Takes a Loss

Freeport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Rockford East E-Rabs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the E-Rabs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in April.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-16.

Despite the defeat, Freeport saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kiptyn Reisenbichler had 14 digs. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Reisenbichler.

Omar Medina was the offensive standout of the match as he had 13 digs. Those 13 digs gave him a new career-high.

Freeport's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Rockford East, they moved to 5-7 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Freeport has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Boylan Catholic on the 6th. As for Rockford East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Rolling Meadows on the 2nd.
