It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but DuBois ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the DuBois Central Catholic Cardinals 7-6. The Beavers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cardinals, too.

DuBois let Trey Wingard and Mason Dinkfelt run wild. Wingard went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI, while Dinkfelt went 3-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most doubles Wingard has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Farrell, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI.

The victory snapped DuBois' losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-3 record. As for DuBois Central Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. DuBois will face off against Punxsutawney at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for DuBois Central Catholic, they will challenge Elk County Catholic at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Crusaders' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Cardinals' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
