Softball Preview: Latexo Tigers vs. Caldwell Hornets
The Latexo Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Caldwell Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Latexo is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.

Meanwhile, Caldwell waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with 13 straight wins... but they left with 14. Everything went their way against Manor New Tech as they made off with a 20-0 win. The result was nothing new for Caldwell, who have now won 12 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Caitlyn Faust and Callie Fletcher were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Faust tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Fletcher pitched an inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. At the plate, Faust scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Fletcher went 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and a double.
In other batting news, Kysen Toney was incredible, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Molly Meadows was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.
Latexo's loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-10-2. As for Caldwell, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 24-8 record this season.
