Volleyball Preview: Harlem Huskies vs. Hononegah Indians
Harlem hasn't had much luck against Hononegah recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Huskies will head out to square off against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with three losses in a row, Harlem turned things around against Rockford Auburn on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Knights.
The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16.
Hononegah had won seven straight games and Owen Rollinson did his part to make it eight on Thursday. The Indians walked away with a 2-0 victory over Jefferson with plenty of help from Rollinson, who had 22 assists and four digs. He has been hot for a while, having posted 14 or more assists the last 14 times he's played.
Hononegah easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-17.
Harlem's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-7. As for Hononegah, their victory bumped their record up to 24-5.
Harlem came up short against Hononegah in their previous meeting back in April, falling 2-0. Can the Huskies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
