Basketball Recap: Joel Durran's Big Game Can't Quite Lead St. John Lutheran over Bell

St. John Lutheran's game on Tuesday was all tied up 15-15 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They came up short against the Bell Bulldogs, falling 56-30. The Saints have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

St. John Lutheran's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joel Durran, who posted 14 points. Lebraun Russell was another key player, putting up nine points.

St. John Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Bell, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-13.

St. John Lutheran didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 77-27 loss against Meadowbrook Academy on the 17th. Bell has also already played their next game, a 34-24 defeat against Lafayette on the 17th.
