Softball Preview: West Middlesex Big Reds vs. Reynolds Raiders
The West Middlesex Big Reds will head out on the road to square off against the Reynolds Raiders at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
While West Middlesex has not struggled against Wilmington recently, they managed to flip the script on Monday. West Middlesex sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Wilmington. The win was just what West Middlesex needed coming off of a 6-0 loss in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Reynolds came into Wednesday's match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past Farrell 14-4. The high-scoring effort was just what Reynolds needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.
The victory got West Middlesex back to even at 1-1. As for Reynolds, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
