Martinsville extends home losing streak to four

Recap: Martinsville Bluestreaks vs. Cairo Pilots
This season hasn't been kind to the Martinsville Bluestreaks, who are still winless after their eighth contest. They were dealt a 72-22 loss at the hands of Cairo on Friday.
Cairo had a senior duo take command as Trinty Posey scored 21 points and Aaliyah Wilkerson scored 22 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Wilkerson has scored at least 25% of Cairo's points. Sa'Layah Purdiman was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Martinsville has yet to win a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 0-8 record. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.3 points per game. As for Cairo, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.
Martinsville will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ramsey at 6:00 p.m. on December 18th. Hopefully Ramsey focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Thursday. Cairo is on the road again on Saturday and play against Sandoval at 12:00 p.m. on December 9th.
