Recap: Freire Charter Dragon vs. Franklin Learning Center Bobcats
The Freire Charter Dragon entered their tilt with the Franklin Learning Center Bobcats with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Freire Charter strolled past Franklin Learning Center with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 47-29. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Freire Charter also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2019.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Freire Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jabriel White, who scored ten points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ibrahim Mahmoud, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Freire Charter has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Franklin Learning Center, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-11.
Freire Charter's road trip will continue as they head out to face Mastery Charter South co-op [Mastery Charter Lenfest/Mastery Charter Thomas] at 3:15 p.m. on January 25th. Mastery Charter South co-op [Mastery Charter Lenfest/Mastery Charter Thomas] is on a four-game streak of home wins, Freire Charter a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Franklin Learning Center will take on Thomas A. Edison at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
