Soccer Recap: Lakeland Comes Up Short

Lakeland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Walled Lake Northern Knights. If Lakeland were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to Walled Lake Northern when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lakeland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Walled Lake Northern, their win bumped their record up to 3-0-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeland will head out to square off against Holly at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Holly's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Walled Lake Northern, they will challenge Milford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
