Basketball Recap: Meadow Bridge Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Meadow Bridge had won two straight games and Kierston Rozell did her part to make it three on Friday. The Meadow Bridge Wildcats blew past the Van Bulldogs 47-7 thanks in part to Rozell, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 15 points. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played dating back to last season.

Laycee Conway was another key player, putting up four points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards.

Despite the loss, Van still got an impressive performance from Brailynn McCarty, who posted four points.

Meadow Bridge's record is now 3-0. As for Van, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meadow Bridge and Bath County will round out the year against one another at at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Van, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Tug Valley at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
