Basketball Recap: Michael Crawford's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bradshaw Mountain over Coconino

Bradshaw Mountain lost against Coconino back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bradshaw Mountain Bears fell just short of the Coconino Panthers by a score of 49-46.

Bradshaw Mountain's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Michael Crawford, who posted 12 points. Those 12 points gave Crawford a new career-high. Jayden Blasczyk was another key player, putting up six points in addition to ten boards and five blocks.

It was another big night for Oryon Huayhualla, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds for Coconino. Huayhualla has become a key player for Coconino: the team is 12-1 when he posts at least eight boards, but 3-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Fitz Guinan, who earned ten points.

Bradshaw Mountain has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 16-11 record this season. As for Coconino, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Bradshaw Mountain didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-45 victory against Lee Williams on the 11th. As for Coconino, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, an 80-72 win against Peoria on the 10th.
