Softball Recap: Chisum Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Chisum's offense. They came up short against the Winnsboro Raiders on Tuesday, falling 12-0. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Chisum's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Winnsboro, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Chisum will take on Mount Vernon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mount Vernon will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Chisum surely won't give up without a fight. As for Winnsboro, they will face off against Lone Oak at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lone Oak knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Winnsboro likes a good challenge.
