Recap: Richardson Eagles vs. Pearce Mustangs
The Richardson Eagles posted their biggest win since December 19, 2023 on Tuesday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 59-30 victory over Pearce. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Richardson has posted against Pearce since January 31, 2020.
Richardson got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gabrielle Triplett out in front who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanylah Bush, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Pearce lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kennedy Walters, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Pearce struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Richardson pulled down 18 offensive rebounds.
The victory was the third in a row for Richardson, bringing their record for this year to 16-11. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Pearce, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-12.
Richardson will look to defend their home court on Friday against Irving at 7:00 p.m. Irving is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Pearce, they will head out on the road to square off against MacArthur at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. MacArthur is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
