Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Torrance). They put the hurt on the South Spartans with a sharp 16-2 win on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Tartars, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Torrance is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for South, they now have a losing record of 12-13.

Torrance does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 16-15 win against Banning on the 7th.
