Soccer Recap: Waverly Takes a Loss

Waverly fought the good fight in their overtime match against Norris on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 2-1. Waverly were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Norris apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Waverly's goal came courtesy of Felix Masur, who's now up to two this season.

Waverly has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for Norris, their record is now 3-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Waverly is set to challenge their familiar foe Elkhorn at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Norris will take on rival Gretna East at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
