Recap: Ocean View Seahawks vs. Garden Grove Argonauts
There's no place like home for the Ocean View Seahawks, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 66-58 win over Garden Grove on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Ocean View's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brayden Ackerman led the charge by scoring 22 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Ackerman hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Girotti, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Ocean View's victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Garden Grove, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.
Ocean View will be playing in front of their home fans against Westminster at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Westminster's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests. As for Garden Grove, they will head out on the road to take on Godinez Fundamental at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Godinez Fundamental is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.
