Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kendrick). They blew past the Hardaway Hawks 84-43 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Cherokees sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Noah Harris was his usual excellent self, going 5-for-10 en route to 18 points and six steals. Those six steals gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Spivey, who posted ten points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.
Kendrick smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.
Kendrick's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Hardaway, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kendrick and Northside will compete for holiday cheer at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hardaway, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Russell County at 10:30 a.m. on January 3, 2026.
