Basketball Game Preview: Davie County War Eagles vs. North Wilkes Vikings

The Davie County War Eagles will square off against the North Wilkes Vikings at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Davie County has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 254 points over their last three contests.

On Tuesday, Davie County strolled past Alexander Central with points to spare, taking the game 94-75. The War Eagles haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Noah Dulin and Ethan Driver were among the main playmakers for Davie County as the former went 9-for-17 en route to 25 points along with five rebounds and three steals and the latter dropped a double-double with 19 points and 14 boards. Those 14 boards gave Driver a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Draeton Nance, who posted ten points and seven assists.

Davie County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, North Wilkes hadn't done well against Surry Central recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Vikings came out on top against the Golden Eagles by a score of 60-50.

The victory got North Wilkes back to even at 1-1. As for Davie County, their record is now 3-0.
