Basketball Recap: Mountain Lake/Comfrey Takes a Loss

Mountain Lake/Comfrey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Westbrook-Walnut Grove Chargers and fell 55-27. While losing is never fun, Mountain Lake/Comfrey can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 374th, while Westbrook-Walnut Grove is ranked 183rd).

Mountain Lake/Comfrey's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Westbrook-Walnut Grove, they pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Mountain Lake/Comfrey will take on Russell-Tyler-Ruthton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Russell-Tyler-Ruthton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Westbrook-Walnut Grove, they will head out to face off against Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
