Softball Recap: Meridian Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Meridian had to endure an 11-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Bellingham Bayhawks a 7-0 shutout on Thursday. The Trojans not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 17th (when they won 29-9).

Meridian's victory bumped their record up to 3-14. As for Bellingham, they dropped their record down to 0-15 with the defeat, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Meridian will take on rival Oak Harbor at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bellingham is set to challenge their familiar foe Lakewood at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
