Bowie and Arlington are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Volunteers will head out to challenge the Colts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 996 yards in their previous games.
Arlington will be up against a hot Bowie squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Volunteers came out on top against Martin by a score of 56-43 on Thursday.

Jayden Bibbs had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 328 yards and five TDs while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 95 yards. Those five passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Keidric Osunde-Brown was Bibbs' top target, picking up 86 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bowie was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 239 rushing yards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 84.7 rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last five games they've averaged 190.3.
Bowie didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Princeton Campbell led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Arlington, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in September. Everything went their way against Sam Houston on Friday as they made off with a 38-16 victory. The contest marked the Colts' most dominant win of the season so far.
Bowie better focus on containing Christian Moore and Coleman Cravens as the pair were huge in Arlington's win. Moore rushed for 116 yards and one score on only 13 carries, while Cravens threw for 200 yards and three TDs.
Bowie's record is now 4-2. As for Arlington, their record now sits at 4-1.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: Bowie has been unstoppable in the air this season, having averaged 350.2 passing yards per game. It's a different story for Arlington, though, as they've been averaging only 143.8 passing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant passing game?
Everything came up roses for Bowie against Arlington in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 48-21 victory. In that game, the Volunteers amassed a halftime lead of 34-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
