Basketball Recap: Worcester Prep Comes Up Short

Worcester Prep lost against Delmarva Christian back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Worcester Prep Mallards lost 56-34 to the Delmarva Christian Royals. The contest marked the Mallards' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Delmarva Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Darius Liles, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 14 points and five boards. Liles is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was D J Liles, who posted 14 points.

Worcester Prep suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 8-3. As for Delmarva Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Worcester Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Delmarva Christian, they are taking a road trip to take on ASPIRA Charter at 5:15 p.m. on February 18th. Delmarva Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.1 points per game this season.
