Volleyball Recap: Eureka Wildcats vs. Rockwood Summit Falcons

Eureka lost to Rockwood Summit back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wildcats came up short against the Falcons, falling 3-0. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Eureka took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-17, 25-20.

Liam Pieschel paced Eureka's offense, picking up seven kills. Pieschel got some help from Tyler Krauss and his 23 assists. Finally, Blake Leuthauser kept Eureka's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Michael Rossomanno was the offensive standout of the contest as he had nine digs and two assists.

Eureka's loss dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Rockwood Summit, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 22-9.

Looking ahead, Eureka will host St. Francis Borgia at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rockwood Summit does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
