Softball Recap: Biddeford's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

Biddeford dropped their record down to 11-6 on Thursday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Kennebunk Rams by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers have suffered since April 28th.

Biddeford saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaylah Trottier, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

As for Kennebunk, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games.

On Kennebunk's side, the result came thanks to Juliann Pike's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks. Pike has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances.

As of now, neither Biddeford nor Kennebunk have any future games scheduled.
