Soccer Game Preview: Jasper vs. Silsbee

The Jasper Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Silsbee Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jasper is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Jasper who was credited with the victory on Tuesday. The Bulldogs got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Hardin-Jefferson's two.

Silsbee came up short against Vidor on Tuesday, falling 5-1. Silsbee have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Silsbee's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Jasper, their win bumped their record up to 6-3-1.

Jasper beat Silsbee 3-1 when the teams last played back in February of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
