Baseball Recap: Manitowoc Lutheran Comes Up Short

Manitowoc Lutheran suffered their biggest loss since April 28th on Thursday. They lost 9-1 to the Reedsville Panthers. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Lancers' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Manitowoc Lutheran saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wesley Hecker, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Manitowoc Lutheran has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Reedsville, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manitowoc Lutheran will challenge Brillion at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Reedsville, they will venture away from home to take on Roncalli at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
