Mount Vernon proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 13) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Edison Eagles 6-5. The victory was nothing new for the Majors as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Mount Vernon's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Talon Camacho, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Camacho has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last nine times he's played.

Mount Vernon pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Edison, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6.

Mount Vernon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 15-0 victory against Falls Church on the 8th. As for Edison, they have also already played their next matchup, a 12-2 defeat against Annandale on the 12th.
