Softball Recap: Sturgis Comes Up Short

Sturgis made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Constantine, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Trojans fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 13-11 on Saturday. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Sophia Crites was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That RBI was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Colette Harker, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Sturgis' loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Constantine, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

While Sturgis had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
