Hammond Academy of Science & Tech came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Saint Thomas More Academy, but Noah Kloska wouldn't allow it. The Griffins simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Hawks 72-33 with plenty of help from Kloska, who went 14-for-20 on his way to 35 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. The game was his fifth in a row with at least 17 points.

Another player making a difference was Joey Downey, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 15 boards. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 45.8% shooting accuracy.

The win made it two in a row for Saint Thomas More Academy and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.0 points over those games. As for Hammond Academy of Science & Tech, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Saint Thomas More Academy will head out to challenge Trinity Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hammond Academy of Science & Tech, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Newman Central Catholic at 11:30 a.m. on the 27th.
