Southside has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will welcome the Fort Payne Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Southside will be strutting in after a victory while Fort Payne will be coming in after a loss.
Last Thursday, Southside got the win against Lee by a conclusive 31-7.
Meanwhile, Fort Payne was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap two weeks ago as they fell 23-19 to Guntersville.
Although Fort Payne took the loss, they still got scores from Carter Tinker and Brannon Oliver.
Fort Payne wouldn't let Guntersville keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Fort Payne can thank Luke Patton and Ryker Ingle for forcing both of them. Patton is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in the last ten games he's played dating back to last season.
Southside's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Fort Payne, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
