Basketball Recap: Wickliffe Find Success

After only 30 points in their last contest, Wickliffe made sure to put some points up on the board against Conneaut on Tuesday. The Wickliffe Blue Devils came out on top against the Conneaut Spartans by a score of 56-48. The Blue Devils have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jordan Kulko, who posted 19 points. Kulko's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Noah Hamm was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Wickliffe's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Conneaut, their defeat was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wickliffe won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Madison at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Madison will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Wickliffe surely won't give up without a fight. Conneaut has already played their next match (against Edgewood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
