            Softball Preview: Flomaton Hurricanes vs. W.S. Neal Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            The Flomaton Hurricanes will square off against the W.S. Neal Eagles at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Flomaton is coming into the  contest on  a  five-game losing streak.
Flomaton lost  19-9 to Blacksher on Tuesday.
Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask W.S. Neal). They put the hurt on Hillcrest with a sharp  24-7 victory on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Eagles with their most commanding win of the  season.
 Precious Howard made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing 1.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  hit in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with three  runs. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in February.
 In other batting news,  Kiera Jackson was  incredible,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with three  runs, three  doubles,  and four  RBI. Those  four  RBI gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Paisley Royce, who  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with three  runs and two  RBI.
 The  win made it two in a row for W.S. Neal and  bumps their season record up to 12-16. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 21.5 runs over those games. As for Flomaton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.
 Flomaton beat W.S. Neal 14-10  when the teams last played  back in March. Will the Hurricanes repeat their success,  or do  the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
