Softball Recap: Jefferson Democrats vs. Huntington Park Spartans
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Jefferson can now relate to. They fell 29-26 to the Huntington Park Spartans on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (12), the Democrats still had to take the loss.

Brenda Hernandez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs, six stolen bases, and four runs while going 3-for-6. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Melanie Garcia, who got on base in five of her seven plate appearances with seven stolen bases and three runs.
Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Huntington Park, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-15.
