Basketball Recap: Chloe Douglas Key Part of a Team Effort in Yellowjackets Win

Glencoe won the last time they faced Ashville and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Glencoe Yellowjackets walked away with a 57-48 victory over the Ashville Bulldogs. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 289th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Glencoe's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chloe Douglas led the charge by going 5 for 12 en route to 15 points. The dominant performance gave Douglas a new career-high in points. Kinlee Montgomery was another key player, putting up 14 points and three steals.

Glencoe's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 17-7. As for Ashville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-14.
