Softball Recap: Roy Takes a Loss

Roy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 11-6 to the Weber Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Royals of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2021.

Roy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Weber, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Roy and Northridge will shake off the rust and duke it out at 3:30 p.m. on April 8. Northridge has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.3 runs per game on average), something Roy will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Weber, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Layton at 3:30 p.m. on April 8.
