Baseball Recap: Latexo Comes Up Short

Latexo lost against Lovelady back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Latexo Tigers lost 17-1 to the Lovelady Lions. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Latexo saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chris Grier, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Grier brought in this season.

Even though they lost, Latexo always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Latexo's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Lovelady, their record is now 10-7-1.

Coincidentally, Latexo and Lovelady will both be playing Centerville the next time they take the field. Lovelady will head out to face Centerville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Latexo will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on April 1st.
