Football Game Recap: Southwind vs. Kirby

After losing to Southwind the last time they met, Kirby decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Kirby made easy work of Southwind on Friday and carried off a 39-14 victory. Not happy with the near-even 17-14 score at halftime, Kirby made a real splash in the second half.

The contest started off well for Kirby, whose offense put up 17 first-half points. Southwind wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 14 to make it 17-14 heading into the break. The offense for Kirby continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 22 points to put the game away.

Kirby will have some time to rest before their next match, which is against Munford in two weeks at 7:00 PM. These teams both have set a high bar for this game after stand-out offensive performances in their previous contests. Southwind will look to defend their home turf against Brighton at 7:00 PM. Neither of these teams wants a repeat from their last game since each was dealt a considerable defeat.
