Volleyball Recap: Westmoreland Gets the Win

Westmoreland took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Liberty Creek, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles won by a set and slipped past the Wolves 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Westmoreland was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (103-97), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 10-25, 25-17, 25-22, 21-25, 16-14.

Dallas Rippy paced Westmoreland's offense, picking up 14 kills. Rippy got some help from Cali Cline and her 35 assists. Rippy was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Westmoreland's win bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Liberty Creek, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 9-1 and their overall record down to 18-15.

As of now, neither Westmoreland nor the Wolves have any future games scheduled.
