There's no place like home for Merritt Island, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Bayside Bears on Wednesday. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bears, too.
Chase Burns looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Asher Anderson was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Brandes, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
