Volleyball Game Preview: Soldotna Stars vs. Palmer Moose

For the second straight game, Soldotna will face off against Palmer. The Stars are taking a road trip to square off against the Moose at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Soldotna is coming into the contest hot, having won their last ten games.

Soldotna is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Palmer, who was ranked 11th at the time (Soldotna was ranked fourth). The Stars narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Moose 3-2.

Soldotna took Palmer into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-16, 18-25, 22-25, 15-13.

Soldotna's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Palmer, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-9.
