Soccer Game Preview: Northeast vs. Clarksville

Northeast hasn't had much luck against Clarksville recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Eagles will head out to square off against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Northeast fell victim to Henry County and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 4-0 to the Patriots. While losing is never fun, Northeast can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 195th, while Henry County are ranked 50th).

Meanwhile, Clarksville came up short against Pope John Paul II on Tuesday, falling 5-1. Clarksville haven't had much luck with Pope John Paul II recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Clarksville's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4-1. As for Northeast, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7-3.

Northeast might still be hurting after the 9-0 defeat they got from Clarksville in their previous meeting back in August. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
