Softball Recap: Herriman Takes a Loss

If Herriman was riding high fresh off their 19-7 takedown of Bingham two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs lost 11-5 to the West Field Longhorns on Wednesday.

Keira Rodriguez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Jaylee Hansen also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Herriman dropped their record down to 7-8 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for West Field, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Coming up, Herriman is taking a road trip to face off against Layton at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West Field, they will welcome Green Canyon at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
