Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Isaiah Camon and Tarrell Green Jr. Lead Lowndes to Victory

Lowndes won the last time they faced Thomasville and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lowndes Vikings managed a 56-52 victory over the Thomasville Bulldogs.

Leading Lowndes to victory were Tarrell Green Jr. and Isaiah Camon. Green Jr. went 6 of 10 on his way to 14 points and seven rebounds, while Camon posted 17 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Camon a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kam Jackson, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 13 points and seven rebounds.

Lowndes' win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 33.5% in those games and 0% outside of them. As for Thomasville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.

Lowndes and Thomasville should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Lowndes (ranked 115th) will meet Camden County (ranked 241st) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lowndes is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.4 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Thomasville (ranked 153rd) will meet Berrien (ranked 448th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
